As you can see from the accompanying galleries, my work is a blend of formal photographs and reportage photographs.
Once booked my attendance is from the bride's preparations until a short while after the first dance.
This allows for a full record of the day as well as more time for the formal shots in a slightly less hurried environment. It should be noted however that the more time the bride and groom can spare throughout the day - even in batches of five minutes - the more interesting formal photographs can be shot.
I will always work with an assistant, who for a small additional fee will also help cover the times when I cannot be in two places at once.
I will therefore start a typical day documenting the bride's preparations, whilst my assistant covers the groom, best man and guests arriving at the church. I will then photograph the service, if required, including the signing of the registers, and continue as the bride and groom leave the church and move on to the reception, meal and dancing.
Formal shots will be taken throughout the day, as agreed with the bride and groom prior to the event.
